
Scott is a highly accomplished Registered Nurse with over 20 years of dedicated experience in paediatric care.
Known for his patient-centred approach, Scott focuses on building trusting relationships to deliver safe, effective, and individualised care that drives positive health outcomes for children and their families.
Scott is accredited in providing Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Nitrous Oxide Sedation.
Throughout his extensive tenure at the John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Scott’s clinical excellence has been consistently recognised. He specialised early in his career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Paediatric Surgery and Oncology, later advancing into Clinical Nurse Consultant roles across Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation, and Oncology. His leadership capabilities were further solidified through an Emerging Leaders sponsorship and his experience in senior management as a Nurse Unit Manager.
Scott completed his Bachelor of Nursing at the University of Newcastle in 2003 and is currently further enhancing his clinical depth by working towards a Master of Advanced Nursing.
When he isn’t supporting his patients, Scott enjoys staying active and fit, camping, and spending quality time with his family.

Scott is a committed advocate for the nursing profession. He has been a long-standing active member of the Council of Children’s Nurses, including 5+ years’ service on the Executive Committee, and currently holds a professional memberships with The Agency for Clinical Innovation, contributing to the Intellectual Disability, Transition, Paediatrics, and Rehabilitation networks.
