Experience & dedication
Our paediatricians are highly trained doctors. They study for at least six years after medical school. They have special knowledge in areas like newborn health, child development, and helping children with complex health needs.

Our paediatricians help children stay healthy. They look at the whole picture, including physical health, learning, and behaviour.
You can see our paediatric doctors in person, or through video calls, depending on your unique needs.
Things to know about Paediatric services at Alike
Comprehensive Reviews:
- You will have a detailed review with a consultant paediatrician (a specialist doctor).
- These reviews will take at least 45 minutes.
- We will send your management plan to you, your referring doctor (like your GP), and any other health professionals or teachers you want us to.
Referrals:
- You will need a doctor’s referral to see our specialists.
- Appointments without a referral are available, but will attract a higher fee.
Insurance Claims:
- If you have an insurance claim, we might need to write reports for your insurance company.
- We will send these costs directly to your insurance company.
- Any costs that you will be required to pay will be explained to you (and any appointed case managers) in writing before you are charged.
Please note that the NDIS generally does not fund medical appointments with a paediatrician.
