What is a Dietitian?
An Accredited Practising Dietitian is a trained healthcare professional who assists you to improve your health through food and nutrition. This might include managing chronic conditions like diabetes or gut health issues, supporting children with fussy eating, or providing nutritional advice to aid recovery from illness or injury.

Dietetic Assessments
A dietetic consultation is generally one hour long, onsite at Alike and costs $200 per hour.
Reports can often be requested by different groups like the NDIS for a nutritional needs assessment or a GP for a chronic disease management plan.
A personalised meal plan or report process requires an assessment and review of appropriate information; this can take anywhere from one to several hours.
Our fees are calculated based on your unique circumstances and discussed with you (and/or your relevant case manager) prior to any commencement of service.
Seeing our Dietetics team
There are some Medicare and private health insurance programs that you might be eligible for. We can discuss this with you individually to help plan out the best cost-effective approach to your care.
Our Dietitians often sit in with the Doctors at Alike to provide their expert opinions and assist in providing expert care. This is called multidisciplinary care and is an Alike point of difference.
