
Dr Goel is a Clinical Geneticist with extensive experience across paediatrics, metabolic medicine, and general genetics. He works with children, adults, and families where genetic assessment, diagnosis, and guidance can support clearer understanding, informed decision-making, and long-term planning.
Dr Goel’s approach is thoughtful, evidence-based, and collaborative, supporting patients, families, and referrers to navigate genetic complexity with clarity and care.
His areas of expertise include general and prenatal genetics, dysmorphology, and neurogenetics, with a particular focus on navigating complex or uncertain presentations.
Dr Goel completed his Clinical Geneticist training at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi and undertook specialist training in Paediatrics and Medical Genetics before relocating to Australia as a Fellow in Metabolic Medicine at the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne. He has worked as a Clinical Geneticist with Hunter Genetics since 2010 and currently serves as Clinical Lead of the General Genetics Service.
